• Aim next to the detector and spray for 1–2 seconds from a distance of 0.6–1.2 meters.
• For fire detectors without a delay circuit, the alarm will sound within 10 seconds after spraying.
• For detectors with a built-in delay circuit, spray 1–2 additional times to activate the alarm.
• If operating normally, the detector should sound the alarm within 10–15 seconds. If the alarm continues to sound after 15 seconds, blow air using a newspaper or magazine to deactivate the alarm.
